JOB DESCRIPTION
The Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is a member of an Agile-oriented cross-functional team of software engineers, business systems analysts, software testers, technical writers, and graphic designers who leverage software to solve real-world problems in the Container Handling industry. You will actively develop new test automation code and maintain existing test automation code with a high degree of quality, leveraging strong software design and test automation principles, ingenuity and creativity, attention to detail, and analytical skills to devise unique and innovative ways to test software solutions. You will be responsible for writing test code across all tiers of an N-tier architecture, including client-tier, middle-tiers, and back-end (data/database), for automation testing integrated software systems with third parties, developing and maintaining robust test automation suites, building and leveraging configuration and deployment automation tools.
You will have the opportunity to work with Business Systems Analysts to determine customer and product requirements and their applicability to product code and test code; with Manual Testers to better understand detailed test cases and scenarios, and to help debug issues; with Application Support to understand, debug, and resolve issues found by customers in production or UAT environments; and with Product Engineering Management to deliver and track status on team, product, customer, and company initiatives. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Use test UX frameworks and help teams write UX automation tests
* Use JavaScript libraries for UX test automation
* Automate the acceptance tests by leveraging their UX testing skills
* Collaborate with distributed teams for UX automation design and development
* Extensive code coverage through UX regression testing
* Must build, deploy, run & manage the UX test framework application individually
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
* Quality Assurance Process Skillset - Test Estimation, Test case Preparation, Test Execution, Defect Management
* QA testing web-based applications
* Write automation tests using WebdriverIO, Mocha, NodeJS, JavaScript, Git (GitHub)
* Able to work with Agile-Scrum and other Agile methodologies
* Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
* Good Analytical skills to work with developers for troubleshooting and peer review
* Proactive in learning new tools/techniques
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment and independently handling complex problems
Education & Training
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
* Experience in advanced UI automation for web or native applications
* Proven ability to design and create UX automation tests
