Learning and Development Specialist

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of employees within the organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training needs, develop curricula, deliver training sessions, and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives. Your role will contribute to the growth and development of employees, ultimately supporting the achievement of organizational objectives.



General Responsibilities

  • Regularly generate reports for and presentations to management.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify training needs and gaps within the organization.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand business goals and objectives.
  • Develop learning objectives and design training programs to address identified needs.
  • Create engaging and effective learning materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and training manuals.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars both in-person and virtually.
  • Utilize various instructional techniques and formats to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Ensure training content is delivered effectively and aligns with established learning objectives.
  • Implement evaluation methods to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs.
  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery.
  • Analyze training metrics and data to measure the return on investment (ROI) of learning initiatives.
  • Stay updated on learning technologies and trends to enhance training delivery and engagement.
  • Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to administer, track, and manage training activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in learning and development practices.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
  • Ensure training programs comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards for training materials and delivery methods.
  • Coach and mentor others in applications of learning and development within and outside the L&D team.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resource Management, or any similar course.
  • Candidate must possess at least 3 years of work-related experience in training, learning, and/or development, preferably in a supervisory role. 
  • Candidate must possess experience with executive, management, and leadership development.
  • Candidate must display mastery of designing and delivering various training solutions using various training methods, including but not limited to coaching, classroom instruction, 1-on-1 sessions, action learning, blended learning, e-learning, and others. 
  • Candidate must display excellent written and spoken communication.
  • Candidate must display above-average fluency in English and Filipino.
  • Candidate must be articulate and confident speaking to individuals, small groups, and large audiences, regardless of rank or seniority.
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and have initiative.
  • Candidate must be adept in planning, negotiation, and leadership.
