GENERAL ACCOUNTANT (CPA) AFD4-5
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Understand the business and relevant processes in the tax filings, keeping of the books of accounts, and compliance requirements by the Philippine tax code and other regulators (e.g., SEC, LGUs).
- Supervise the accounting staff in both head office and subsidiaries to comply with the company's policies and procedures on tax management.
- Communicate the policies and procedures on tax management.
- Prepare the tax returns
- Maintain the records in the books of accounts for all the companies.
- Assist in payment for the permits and licenses of all the companies.
- Assist in all filings to BIR, BOI, PEZA, LGUs and other regulators
- Process request for Philgeps tax clearance for bidding on government projects
- Check the filing of source documents if compliant with company policies.
- Recommend improvements in tax management
- Attend the regular meetings on tax management.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders- executive team, management team, process owners, and direct reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
- Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in general accounting or a related role.
- Demonstrated exposure to tax compliance and PEZA-related processes.
- Skills:
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, PEZA rules, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
