Are you passionate about bridging the gap between software development and IT operations? Pointwest Innovations Corporation is looking for a driven DevOps Engineer to join our Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Strategic Business Unit. Guided by our core values of Leadership, Excellence, and Innovation, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality software faster and ensuring our clients experience a seamless digital transformation. We foster a collaborative culture of Agility and Accountability, giving you the platform to innovate, thrive, and grow.
What You Will Do
In this highly collaborative, hybrid/remote role, you will make a direct impact across four key pillars of our organization:
Delighting Our Customers & Stakeholders: You will design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure the high-speed delivery of client features. You will also guarantee 24/7 platform stability, conduct proactive monitoring, and implement vital DevSecOps practices to protect sensitive BFSI data.
Growing Our Business: By leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, you will manage cloud infrastructure to optimize resources and reduce operational costs. You will also work closely with Architecture and Engineering teams to align technical capabilities with business goals.
Improving the Way We Work: You will champion automation by transforming manual tasks into streamlined workflows using scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Furthermore, you will continuously enhance system scalability through containerization and orchestration strategies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Developing Myself and Others: You will stay ahead of emerging cloud trends to maintain Pointwest's competitive edge while actively mentoring junior engineers to build a culture of shared technical ownership.
How You Will Measure Success
Your meaningful contributions will be summarized and celebrated through clear performance metrics, including:
Operational Excellence: Improved deployment frequencies, reduced Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), lower change failure rates, and decreased manual "toil" hours.
Business Impact: High Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores for platform uptime, successful infrastructure cost optimization, and the on-time delivery of technical milestones.
Team Growth: Positive peer feedback on collaboration, completion of training hours, and leading internal knowledge-sharing sessions.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, System Administration, or Software Development.

Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS). Expertise in IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) is highly valued.
Scripting & Systems: Strong automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python, alongside a solid background in Linux/Unix administration and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Bonus Points: Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or CKA) are highly preferred.
Work Setup: Project-Based | Hybrid / Remote (UP Technohub, Makati, or BGC).
