QA Manual Tester
Job Summary:
The Manual QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through thorough testing and meticulous attention to detail. The role involves executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to improve product quality.
Responsibilities:
Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify software defects and ensure the application meets quality standards.
Report and track defects using bug tracking tools, monitoring their resolution status until closure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to communicate test results and ensure a smooth development process.
Identify, document, and communicate potential risks in the software application.
Assist in writing and maintaining testing documentation, including test scripts and test data.
Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide input on testability and quality considerations.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends to continuously improve testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester.
Familiarity with software testing methodologies and best practices.
Knowledge of bug tracking tools and test management systems.
Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) to read and understand code snippets.
Performance Testing and Test Automation experience is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
ISTQB or other relevant certifications would be a plus.
